| NBOA Summer Soiree — August 6, 2026
Last Thursday night, 800 housing providers filled a room to send one message: neighborhood housing is vital to Chicago’s continued health, and the NBOA is THE voice of the industry.
We are thrilled that many elected officials and candidates for office joined us, and we thank them for attending. |
|
| This kind of turnout doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because this industry knows what’s at stake — with current political environment in general and with the Mayor’s PRO specifically. The NBOA exists to make sure our voice is heard where it counts.
If you were there, thank you. You made the case louder than any op-ed could.
If you missed it, here’s how to stay in the fight: visit our action page and tell your alderman where you stand on PRO. It takes less than a minute, no login required. |
|
| There are so many to thank, including NBOA’s tremendous staff, our Board and the many volunteers who helped us.
Finally, thanks to all of you who served as Sponsors to this event. It is your support that keeps our organization viable and impactful.
Please take a few minutes, scroll down and study this list. Take the time and get to know these sponsors, thank them for generously supporting the neighborhood multifamily housing industry and consider doing business with them!
Finally, I’m sure most of you know that a handful of protestors showed up outside, trying to disrupt our event, an effort, I’m sure we all agree, failed. Yet, the protest serves as a reminder of why NBOA’s work telling our story in the media and through our lobbying professionals is so important—and a clear sign that what we are doing is having an impact.
